Cassandra serves as Political Associate, supporting Higher Heights’ political Department with candidate outreach, the endorsement process, data collection, and leadership development/training efforts.
Cassandra is deeply committed to advancing progressive policies and empowering Black women. She brings a wealth of experience in political polling and campaign consulting to her work. Cassandra’s journey began at Normington, Petts & Associates, a Democratic polling firm, where she initially served as an intern and later advanced to Junior Analyst, honing her skills in the field. Cassandra earned a B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University. She pursued two years of graduate coursework in Political Science at the Ph.D. level, where her research focused on political inequality and Black political behavior. She continues to conduct academic research in her free time, focusing on work that has significant social and policy implications.
