Higher Heights for America PAC strongly endorses Nina Turner for Ohio Secretary of State.

"Nina’s outspoken and unabashed style makes her an outstanding candidate to protect further attempts to roll back the rights of voters as the next Ohio Secretary of State.  Having her in office overseeing elections in one of the most critical states in the country will afford marginalized voters the protection they need to cast their ballots with confidence,” said Kimberly Peeler-Allen, Co-Founder of Higher Heights.

Nina Turner was elected in 2005 as the first women to ever represent Cleveland’s Ward 1 on its city council.  In 2008, she was appointed to the vacant 25th Ohio Senate seat, and two years later was elected to a full term after winning the respect of the hard-working women and men of Northeast Ohio.

Turner currently serves as the Ranking Member on the Insurance & Financial Institutions Committee and the Finance Subcommittee on Education, as well as a member of the Ohio Ballot Board.

In the State Senate, Nina Turner has fought tirelessly to protect women’s healthcare freedom and workers right. Her unbought and unbossed leadership style has drawn national attention to her work to protect the voting rights of all and to expand ballot access.
